Borrowing Books

You can use BJUT campus card or temporary library card to borrow printed books (monographs) except specimen books, periodicals, reference books and rare books.

Library Loans

Option 1Self-checkout machinesare available to issue, renew and return books, using your campus ID card. Follow the instructions displayed on the screen. You can also use the machines to check your library account.

Option 2Loan through library staff at the service desk on the 2nd floor of the library.

Renewing Books

Borrowed items may be renewed at any time during the loan period unless requested by another patron. Patrons should keep in mind updated due date after renewal. Each material has its maximum loan period.

Option 1:Consulta library staff at the service desk with your BJUT campus card or temporary library card.

Option 2:Log into “My libray” to renew a book online.(Account is your BJUT campus card number).Detailed(Click the underlined number after "Loan", select the books to be renewed, and then click the "Renew Selected" button or the "Renew all" button.)

NOTE:That renewal is denied in any of the situations listed below.

1.The book is overdue.

2.The book has been requested by another patron.


Requesting Books

You can request those books on loan to another user. You will be notified by email when the requested book is ready for collection. Please check your email account regularly. You have to go to the service desk to check it out in 4 days, otherwise the request will be canceled.(You must enter your E-mail and your cell phone number in your library account)

Borrowing privileges continue for cardholders provided that

Whose fines reach less than20.

Who have no items overdue.

Whose card is currently in use


Returning Books

Please pay attention to the due date for returning books.

Methods for Returning

Option 1:Return books through self-checkout machines in the library

Option 2:Return books to a library staff at the service desk.

If you have books checked out withinthe winter or summer vacation. The books will be automatically renewed until schoolresuming. There is no action you need to take.

Overdue Fines :0.1 per day

Lost& Damaged Materials:Please report damage or loss to the service desk. Based on the extent of the damage,you will be charged either the cost of repairs or the actual cost of replacement.Detailed
