Books loaning guidance of Capital Library of China –BJUT sub-library
1.Free reading without readers’ library card is available within the library. A valid library card is necessary for readers who need books loaning.
2.Readers are suggested to leave the books on the desk after finish reading.
3.Readers are suggested to handle the books carefully. Any damage and loss of the books will be handled based on compensation rules of Capital Library of China.
4.Relevant procedures have to be gone through if photocopying books is necessary. Readers are suggested to abide by the provisions of laws and administrative regulations concerning the Copyright Law of the People's Republic of China. The amount of reproducing or photocopying is not allowed to exceed 1/3 of the whole book.
Books Loaning and Returning
1.Three books can be loaned for 42 days with each library card and renewing is not allowed.
2.Returning books on time is a must. Late fines, calculated based on Gregorian calendar, are compulsory for readers with overdue books. Late fines are 0.2 yuan per book for each day, of which the maximum amount is 30 yuan per book.
3.Readers are suggested to check quantity and titles of books borrowed, and leave the library with receipt after making sure loan procedures have been completed.
4.Books without being gone through loan procedures are not allowed to be taken out of the library.
5.Books loaning are allowed for readers with overdue books if only those unreturned items are returned and late fines are paid off.
6.Readers are not allowed to borrow books when the maximum amount of late fines reach 10 yuan.
7.Loaning function will be suspended when late fines of readers’ card reach the upper limit, and one-off compensation is needed at the service desk.
8.Before processing the loaning procedures, double check the books for any stain or damage, in case of which, an explanation to the librarian before borrowing is needed and therefore a stamp with the inscription of stained books is provided. Readers themselves will answer for the returned books without fore-mentioned stamp if found stained or damaged.
9.If any stain, damage or loss of the books occur, readers themselves are supposed to go through compensation procedures with their library cards at the service desk.
